Drive to Homer Alaska

Day two of our Anchorage trip begins with breakfast at IHOP, we had to fuel up for our long drive to Homer Spit. Yesterday was spent showing Jeanette and Cedes around Anchorage. We spent a quiet evening at the motel on the balcony watching Eagle Rivers pre 4th of July fireworks.

Now we are ready to head out to Homer, this is a 4.5 hr drive, which took about 6 with random pit stops to enjoy the scenery and take pictures. Here are some that were taken.

Kids at a roadside waterfall

Jeanette and Cedes

Scott and the kids

The River

Kailee under the bridge at the river

Ashley "is there service"

Just a beautiful site

As usual they could care less that we are there.

Mt. Rebout should be in there somewhere.

Our wonderful view on the drive.

We are finally in Homer, now we are tourists and I think we are going to be good at it. The drive was long but nice. The town is small, but what ones in Alaska aren't. We are here to see the spit and mostly the Bald Eagles. Catch my next post which will be Homer Spit!
